I've been slowly monitoring OD Wood's career since 2011. I have to admit that I am a passive fan but whenever I get the chance to listen to his latest song I am impressed.. Peep his new video 'Slow Down'. God willing, OD Woods' time will soon come.

Two joints from Reminisce in one day...it seems it is go hard time. This new joint 'reminisce' is off his second album titled 'Alaga Ibile' which is dropping anytime soon. The first official single for this album 'Bobo' will hit your ears pretty soon. Enjoy this Sossick produced joint. Reminisce is now going bilingual...nice.

FRESH POST| WIZKID RELEASES THE TRACKLIST FOR HIS NEXT ALBUM

Wizzy's second album was meant to drop this month but it has been pushed back. The album which already has 2 singles on rotation 'Jaiye Jaiye' featuring Femi Kuti and 'Talk' has no specific date of release yet. However it seems the album is getting close to completion 'cos Wizkid posted the tracklist of the album on Instagram. 

'Plus more Jams! #TheAlbum #EME. #StarBoy! Yaga!' was the caption of the pic. It might not be complete by the look of things but it looks like a serious draft. There are some interesting cameos on the list. We would love to hear the tracks with Efya, Seyi Shay and Don Jazzy. Fingers crossed, let's hope they make the final cut.

POP NEWS| MUSIC FANS SET FOR MASSIVE SURPRISE IN ENUGU

As Star Music Trek enters its fourth week this weekend, thousands of music fans in the eastern part of Nigeria are eagerly awaiting the Enugu leg of the tour, billed to hold at The Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, on Saturday June 29.

This weekend’s concert, which features a star-studded lineup  including MI, J Martins, Wande Coal, Mr Raw, Phyno and Crystals will yet again deliver rich, electrifying performances from the headliners and supporting acts.

Phyno, whose near-excellent performance in Owerri on June 22 is still the talk of the town says he has a surprise in stock for Enugu fans ‘‘The ‘surprise’ is the surprise itself. I won't say anything more than that.”

Meanwhile rappers’ rapper M.I, who discovered a talented new rapper X BUSTA in Owerri says he’s ‘‘really excited about the Enugu leg of the concert’’.

The Chocolate City act has one question though: ‘‘Can Enugu rock more than Owerri?’’

M.I and Phyno are joined by another maestro – Wande Coal who shocked Owerri fans last weekend, with a half hour of non-stop hits from his rich repertoire. The Mavin records act will bring out his A game again, as he captures the heart of the east for the second weekend running.

Homeboys Mr. Raw and JMartins will treat fans to rich live music, backed by the bands their fans have come to love.

‘It’s a homecoming really’, says Raw, who had his NYSC in Owerri many years ago. ‘It’s like going back home to entertain my brothers and sisters, and I’m really enjoying this eastern invasion…’

The Enugu concert will run all night, with Gbenga Adeyinka as host.

The 10-city tour has so far visited FESTAC, Lokoja and Owerri, with six more cities to go.

Star Music Trek 2013 ends on August 10, 2013 with a Grand Finale at the National Stadium, Surulere in Lagos.

NAYOSOUL', born Odunayo Ayorinde, is a Nigerian Soul/Jazz singer, Vocalist and songwriter.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Nayosoul she listened to her grandmother and sisters sing in the choir and later explained that this may have inspired her interest in music. 

When she was 17 or 18 years old, Naysoul started writing lyrics for music touching on any topic that came to mind, especially Christian music. Her primary singing experience came from "singing in the shower". She was groomed in the Church choir and started taking 'solos' at the age of 14 where she one day discovered her love for soul/jazz music.

An impeccable songwriter, her music is rooted in Jazz music, soul music, blues of the past and indie music. Still grounded in the urban sound of today however, Nayosoul fuses a number of the music elements she grew up listening to and inspired by her surroundings, she writes the most relatable songs.

With tracks such as Veronica, Ditty Ditty O, Acoustic Recording of Rhythm of the Sound and more, work on ‘Journey to Self’ dragged out for over nearly one year due to her pursuit for perfection and musical integrity. The EP is a graft of neo-soul music, acoustic sessions, dubstep music and pop soul style productions.

The 1st single off the EP titled ‘Go where you are’ is due for release on the 26th. The pop soul song inspired by music from Asa and Bruno Mars is produced by IBK, mixed and mastered by IKON of Syndik8 records.
